Ramadan is ninth month of the Islamic calendar when the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
During this period, Muslims all over the world fast and abstain from food, s*x and smoking from morning to evening.
Scholars say it helps for soul cleansing and strengthening the bond between faithfuls and Allah.
